      ~        Provided rare and unique nature recordings for the National Park Service DVD

            "Spirit of the Mountains".

~        Winner of the 2001 Rocky Mountain National Park ARTIST IN RESIDENCE Award for his nature recordings and his commitment to raising awareness to respect and preserve nature, wildlife and our planet. 

~        Performed at the Rocky Mountain National Park amphitheater and the indoor visitor’s center for five years.  Bringing awareness to the park's beauty and value of the noise pollution restrictions to the park’s visitors.   

~        Recorded the howls of the elusive wolves of Yellowstone National Park in May 1999 and 2000. 

~        Recorded various nature sounds for over a year and produced a CD specifically about Rocky Mountain National Park and its natural beauty titled "Welcome to Rocky Mountain National Park." 

~        Recorded the wildlife and nature sounds of the island of Maui and produced a CD dedicated to this Pacific paradise. 

~        Performed with the prestigious Arts for the Parks 1999 national tour at their one mid-USA stop in Estes Park, CO and have been invited to perform at future events with them. 

~        As a friend of John Denver, Steven became educated on the importance of the preservation of our earth. 

~        Performed for Jazz Track Syndicated Radio in a prestigious concert at Lake Tahoe, CA with Douglas Spotted Eagle, a former Windham Hill recording artist.  Douglas Spotted Eagle is a friend and also a guest artist on Steven’s CD “First Light.” 

~        Co-created and co-produced a CD titled, "Tribute... To Colorado and Friends" including: a theme song for Ft. Collins’ Cache la Poudre River, “Spirit of the River”, a song about the Big Thompson flood of 1976, “Ballad of The Big Thompson Canyon” and a tribute to John Denver, “Gentle Voice from Aspen.” 

~        Headline performer at Fort Collins' Riverfest since it's beginning.  Recorded the many voices of the river and added instrumental music to produce a CD titled "Rhythm of the River" specifically about Fort Collins’ most important resource, the Cache la Poudre River. 

~        Involved in numerous benefit and non-profit agency events including:

     §          Performances at several Environmental Awareness concerts for the East Bay Regional Parks Department, Oakland, CA.
§        
Co-created and performed at a benefit concert for Columbine High School healing fund in CO.
§        
Created a stress release and appreciation CD for the 5000 FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) workers after Hurricane Andrew devastated Southern Florida in 1994.
§        
Donated time to record “sounds” for Ski for Light’s 25th anniversary in Feb. 2000. This is an annual cross country skiing event for the visually and mobility impaired.   Produced a master CD to provide the participants with an “audio souvenir” of the experience and organizers with a tool for future fund raising and corporate sponsorships.
